What I absolutely love about Cornerstone Learning Community is how it empowers students to shape their world. Through CLC, students are encouraged to channel their creativity, speak their truth, and actively embrace their roles as change- makers in our community. From a young age, they dive into their history, learn to understand it, and emerge as stewards ready to transform their future. As a parent, I couldn’t be prouder of this invaluable opportunity—and how it’s showing my child that their voice truly matters.

As a teacher, families donating to the CLC Annual Fund means having additional resources to bring enriching, hands-on learning experiences to students. These funds enable us to further foster our students' understanding of the world around them and engage their overflowing, bubbling creativity. A growing CLC Annual Fund, allows us to meet and exceed the diverse needs of our students and encourage a lifelong love for learning.

As a parent, I look for ways to say "yes" to the support the incredible community mission of the Cornerstone Learning Community. By donating to the Annual Fund, it is another way to say for me to say “yes” exciting learning opportunities, special teacher requests, and to support the ever-growing educational equipment needs that fall outside of tuition.

I donate to the CLC fund for the “extra's” it provides our kids. Tuition covers the basics- which are extra-ordinary themselves. However, the CLC fund is there when our faculty, staff, and even students, have an “outside-the-box” idea or recognize a unique learning opportunity that requires a little extra funding. I'm happy to share those dollars to provide a cushion for the ideas to continue growing from, and for, our extra special kids!

For twenty-five years, we have seen how generous gifts from families and supporters of Cornerstone have supported - and even initiated - programs that set CLC apart from other schools in our area. From our early childhood and elementary commitment to individualized instruction, to our successful quest to become the first accredited middle school International Baccalaureate program in our area, to the school’s inspiring, engaged participation in environmental, civil rights, and local issues – these incredible student, faculty, and staff achievements have all benefited from CLC’s annual fund. In addition to this valuable financial support, gifts to the annual fund are signs of commitment to the school’s ever-important mission. We hope that every family will show their support for the programs and values that make Cornerstone unique and a treasure to our beloved Tallahassee community.

It’s no secret that Cornerstone Learning Community attracts Tallahassee’s best and most-creative teachers. The same can be said of the exceptional and extraordinary student body. When all these brilliant minds work together on a single campus, ideas abound, and teaching moments unveil themselves in the most creative and inspiring ways. The CLC Annual Fund is where these educational ideas and opportunities become reality. I donate to the Annual Fund every year because it means that our school has the freedom to deeply explore emerging topics, acquire specialized equipment and materials, and support the growth and critical thinking skills of every student. I can’t wait to hear from my own child what amazing thing happens at CLC next.
